Chef Lynda's passion for cooking began at the age of five. Growing up in France, she spent her summers on her grandmother’s farm in Saujon, near Cannes. It was by her grandmother’s side that she learned to use organic fruits and vegetables. Lynda continued to work with food while serving at the Playboy Club in downtown Chicago. Before she knew it, she quickly ascended to become General Manager and Director of Operations for a number of restaurants. With over 30 years of managing, running, and developing restaurants, Lynda wanted her own company doing something she was passionate about--cooking. In 1999 she started Rent-A-Chef, a personal chef service cooking for families as if they were her own.
Lynda is excited to bring her love of cooking and dedicated service to the wedding scene with the Caterist. Lynda believes that freshness, simplicity, and quality are all just as important as creativity. She bases her cooking philosophy on the fresh, healthy, and delicious ingredients she has used to prepare meals throughout her entire life, bringing her culture, experiences, and motherly love into each one of her dishes. Her goal is for the Caterist team to share their love of entertaining and expertise with all of their clients.
